Visual Artist

My name is Koenraad Koster and I am an amateur visual artist. I create unique intuitive ink drawings, digital art of self-made ink drawings, Mandelbrot fractals, graphite drawings, watercolors, and paintings related to magic, spirituality, Buddhism, shamanism and ancient Egypt.

In 2011 I started drawing with graphite at Atelier Buuf & Co. Then I made some portraits with charcoal and watercolors with watercolor and ink. Later that year I started painting portraits with acrylic paint on canvas and I had a collective exhibition with two female artists at the walk in area of the protected housing form BW-Bospolder.

At the end of 2012, I started at the ICT Academy where I studied for 5 ½ years and passed the exams with excellence to be recognized as: W3schools.com Certified HTML Developer, W3schools.com Certified HTML5 Developer, W3schools.com Certified CSS Developer, W3schools.com Certified JavaScript Developer and W3schools.com Certified jQuery Developer.

Then after completing my education I started drawing and painting again as a hobby. In 2018 I started drawing and painting with acrylic paint on canvas at Atelier Buuf & Co, related to magic, spirituality, Buddhism, shamanism and ancient Egypt. Then at the end of 2018 I had an exhibition at Atelier Buuf & Co of paintings with acrylic paint on canvas.

In 2019 I started drawing intuitively with A4 size ink and later on A3 size paper. That turned out to be a success. I had discovered my talent for drawing with ink and made more than 15 drawings in 6 months at Atelier Buuf & Co. Then there was an exhibition at Atelier Buuf & Co that was well attended.

Later that year I started making ink drawings with a background fill, first the chameleon, then Medusa, then the white widow and later Goëtia (the goat who plays the violin) with twigs, leaves and fine thin lines with Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliners on A3 format Ultra Smooth Canson paper.

At the beginning of 2020 I made a series of ink drawings of spiritual symbols, namely: the Hamsa hand, the Elephant symbol and the Caduceus symbol. These drawings all have a similar background of some sort of puzzle/stained glass-like bricks. Later that year, I made a highly detailed ink drawing of the Eye of Horus, a fantasy portrait, an ink drawing of the woman and bird similar to Picasso, and Mother Nature on A3 Ultra Smooth Canson paper with Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliners.

In the spring of 2021 I made a portrait of the unique and fictional alien life form that hides within me. A human soul and an alien soul fused into a kind of symbiosis. Symbiosis (from Greek: συν: together, βιοσις: living) is the long-term coexistence of two or more organisms of different species, where the coexistence is beneficial or even necessary for at least one of the organisms .

Then I started creating unique digital art from self-made ink drawings, and Mandelbrot fractals. Then I made an ink drawing of the cat symbol, an ink drawing of the hands, a series of unique Buddhist ink drawings and an alien landscape.
